A big crowd of concerned members attended the Annual General Meeting of the Eltham Football Club  held at the Central Park Clubrooms on Monday October 27th.

A new Committee of Management was elected on the night.

Headed by Newly elected President Steve Merkel. Other positions were filled as follows - Senior Vice President Greg Wilson, Vice Presidents Mark McCreery and Darren Stanton. Secretary Mal Brown. Treasurer Noel Voigt.

Other committee elected were Brett Aldred, Rod Haydock, Keith Lowry, John Mitchell, Cameron Waddell, Rod White, Colin Wilson.

New president Steven Merkel addressed the meeting and told of his aspirations and aims for the club for 2009 and beyond.

* Form a working reliable Committee

* Implement A responsible budget

* Implement Player and Committee responsibilities

* Increase Mutual relationships with Sponsors

* Form a good relationship between Players and Committee

* Three major solcial functions for the year

* Form better relationships between the Football Club and The Junior Club, the Netball Club, The Eltham Cricket Club and Nillumbik Council

He is confident that with a concerted effort not just from Committee, but from Players, Supporters and Members the club can see itself through the difficulties it is facing at present.
