Local residents began playing Australian rules football at Eltham Central Park in 1922. From that first day when an Eltham team ran onto Panther Park until today our community has shared a common meeting place of social interaction and recreation. The Eltham Past Players and Supporters Association (EPPSA) has been formed to update and maintain the proud history of the Eltham Football Club, develop our club culture and most importantly encourage future involvement and interest of as many of our past and present players and supporters.
As part of our ongoing mission to present our proud history to the wider community it is an initiative of the EPPSA to produce a "Panther Year Book". The yearbook recognises and celebrates the achievements of the Club and its players. It provides a statistical look at the year as well as past seasons. It looks to honour past players, introduce the new players and provide a colourful look at some of the current players as they pass personal milestones.
Unfortunately, our records of the Club are very much incomplete. We are continuously looking for statistical history, memorabilia and funds in order to update and maintain our history for future generations. Remember, something that may seem insignificant to you may not be to others. If you can provide us with any assistance the EPPSA can be contacted through this web-site or by contacting Paul Smith or Dean Philpots at elthamfc@hotmail.com
In its third year of operation the association has already attracted many members. The cost of becoming a member is only $25; this membership fee covers the cost of awards and ongoing expenses. Members receive a free copy of the yearbook, which normally retails at $10, and free entry to the annual re-union day at the Club.
The passing of legends never to be forgotten.
