The one thing we will not do at Eltham is to dwell on what went wrong in the past. Instead, we will spend our energies on moving forward towards finding new ways to improve.

An example of this is the appointment of Neil “Codger” Connell, as Director of Coaching.

Neil has an impressive background:

Bundoora Senior Coach 2000-2002.
Northern Knights Head Coach 2005.
North Melbourne FC Development Coach 2006-2008
Coaching Awards: Northern AFCA Senior Coach of the Year 2001.
TAC Coach of the Year 2005.
Current position: Player Welfare Manager, North Melbourne FC

Role at Eltham:

Offer support and guidance to the EFC Senior and U19 Coaches and assist with their development.
Help Coaches develop and implement a game plan and training plan.
Act as a mentor and advisor to the Coaches.
Supply all Coaches with up to date coaching resources and current coaching trends.
Liaise with coaches, provide regular feedback on training and match days.
