The 2015 Annual meeting was held on Wednesday evening 28th October at the clubrooms.

We are pleased to report that the entire 2015 Committee of Management will remain intact for 2016 with additionally Andrew Hall also being elected onto the Committee.

The 2016 Committee is as follows

Vice-Presidents: Mark Minney,  Michael Smith and Neil O’Sullivan (Treasurer)

Secretary: Malcolm Brown

General Committee: Andrew Burns, Darren Fitzsimons- Junior Club President, Andrew Hall, Jim Hunt, Geoff Richardson, Helen Smith, John Smith, Gary Vallance

Fixture requests

It was reported to the members that the club has lodged 2 specific fixture requests to the NFL.

The first being a Good Friday March 25th fixture at Eltham Central Park against Greensborough. This request has the backing of the Greensborough,  and hopefully will get NFL approval.  The possibility of a semi twilight timeslot was also discussed, and got a very positive reaction from the meeting.

The second being a home game against Montmorency on the Saturday of the Anzac day weekend continuing the tradition between the two clubs.

Recruiting

It was reported that the re-signing of the current list for 2016 is well under way.
Recruiting will be under a selective approach on not only the on field needs of the club but also that any prospective players, culturally being a good fit off-field

Off Season functions

To improve the financial position of the club two off-season functions are being planned.

1. Live on the Plenty Green

Where – 174 Yan Yean Road Plenty
When – Saturday 5th December 2015 – 1pm – 6pm
Cost – TBA
Tickets include – Entertainment and Food –

Entertainment – Musical – TBA

Drinks at bar prices.

2. Annual Panther Open Golf Day 2016

When- Monday 19th February 2016

Time – Registration is 8.00 am. Tee Off 8.30 am. Meal around 1.00pm

Where  – The Growling Frog Golf Course, Donnybrook Rd Yan Yean.
Cost – $100 a head Includes – Round of Golf,  Gift Bag as well as Lunch and complimentary first drink at the restaurant after the game.
Great Prizes will be awarded to each member of the winning Teams as well as Individual prizes for nearest the pin on the par 3’s and the longest drive on the designated hole.
A great day held last year and again Open for Members, Supporters and General Public with Women most welcome.
